May Vacation 2013 - Grand Finale (Part II)

After our morning work out, a nice shower and a BATTLE it was off to the beach. What battle? Well, I am still not comfortable with my body EVEN though it has come a LONG way! How long?

THIS LONG! The 4 picture collage is my 1st 90 day transformation as a VI DIVA! I lost 22 lbs, 25 or so inches and went from a size 15/16 to solid 10!! As of now I am a solid 8 with some 6 tendencies (a sister put on 10 lbs and I'm frantically attempting to remove them before my 43rd birthday on June 20th). The battle was over my wearing my 1st 2 piece bikini ever in life. I wanted to take it off but Anthony was so sweet and reassuring not to mention blunt about what else will be on the beach so my size won't even matter. *laughs* I needed that, he's most appreciated.

Now I wasn't bold enough to go without a cover up and folk felt the need to walk behind me snapping pictures (can't talk about me and my picture taking *laughs*)

Such a mannish shot! *laughs harder* His intentions were WELL!

Time to hit the road and enjoy the sites of Vero Beach as we head to the water.

Oh how I love our smiles, there's nothing but happiness in them! This is the last day of my vacation and of all 8 days THIS had to have been the coup de grace! The beach was BEAUTIFUL with nothing but clear blue waters and awesome skies for miles! I couldn't wait to get down on the sand and play, yes I was in BIG KID mode!

When we reached the sand I noticed REAL quick that Anthony was NOT getting in the water. *laughs* He set up the chairs and sat down immediately. He had no problem coaxing me to get in though!

I didn't stay out there long because I was 'assaulted' by the waves! They hit me so hard one time that my bottoms were knocked down and my 'girls' were knocked out of my bra top! That was enough to get me out of the water AND having thoughts of going back to a one piece suit! AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! *laughs*

I spent time on the beach with Anthony and having a mini photo shoot as usual. It was an over all GREAT afternoon at the beach.

We met a wonderful couple while on the beach and we quickly found she and I had a lot of the same loves: INSTAGRAM AND PICTURE TAKING! DaGambina is her name and DaHostess is mine ... how ironic! We've since connected on IG of course and it was truly a pleasure to make her acquaintance. It was NOW time to eat! We are now 3 shades darker than we were when we went out and it was time to get in some shade and a/c! We enjoyed lunch at Mulligan's Beach House Bar & Grill which was right off of the water. They had some AWESOME salads! Anthony's was almost to pretty to eat but you know like I know there was a FATALITY on that plate!

CHEERS TO THE FREAKIN WEEKEND, WE DRANK TO THAT!! Mojito and Margarita!

After eating lunch we headed back to the hotel to shower and relax poolside sippin' Mimosas made by Anthony. What a GREAT way to end the day ...

Spending time with a friend, someone dear to you, makes times like this all the more enjoyable. Anthony and I haven't really gotten out together since August 2009 BUT you can't tell. He brought this weekend together with ease and our time together was like we'd never missed a day. I'm a firm believer that whatever GOD puts together nothing (man, time, etc) can pull apart. That's how ALL friendships should be. I haven't been at peace like this in some years! GOD knew what I needed and he sent one of His devout servants to bring it. I am SO thankful for the friend I have in Anthony. Bye Vero Beach ...
