May Vacation 2013 - Days 6 & 7

*sings* It's Friday night, just got paid, vacations poppin and I am on my way! Hey hey hey, yes it's Friday and I am ready to hit Orlando and Vero Beach! The excitement around what's to come this weekend has me glowing. I have a very good friend, Anthony, who has offered to play Calgon and TAKE ME AWAY! He did this once before, back in 2009, he's such an awesome friend and gentlemen.

It seemed like Friday took FOREVER to get to the good part, get down to the good part. I was ready to go and after a great work out, walk to the store, visit from another friend who stopped by to see me off AND a nap IT WAS FINALLY TIME! Tony came to sweep me off of my feet for the weekend and boy was I excited! We arrived at the Drury Inn and the first thing I wanted to do was have a mini photo shoot

workout and eat! Why in that order, I have no idea but that's what it was.

Followed by some spinach and feta cheese pizza

a shower and relaxation. It wasn't too long before I was knocked out, anticipating what the morrow would bring.

4:45 a.m. I get a wake up call and the fact that I'd just gone to sleep at 2 didn't even make a difference. I jumped up and got ready to roll! It was day cruise time! We hit the road with the quickness and the sunrise was simply beautiful!!

It didn't take too long to get to Vero Beach from Orlando. We checked in at the Country Inn and Suites

took the bags up and headed out to Port Canavaral for a nice day out on the water.

I love how in tune Anthony and I are, musically and spiritually. We have the best times whenever we are together, which is not often. The ride down was just as fun as the day was!

When he asked me about going on a day cruise I had NO idea what that was but I found out ...

IT WAS THE VICTORY CASINO CRUISE!! OH LORD ... I DON'T GAMBLE! *laughs*

I didn't have to, I simply enjoyed time on the deck

The scenery was AWESOME and the water was a blue that I'd not seen in some years! It makes me NEVER want to go in the water in Jacksonville OR Hampton Roads, VA! The shoreline was awesome to view as well as the wild life!

Unfortunately the storm brewing to the west prevented a full 5 hour cruise but I wasn't mad. It had started raining which meant I had to leave the outside deck and go inside. I was tired, cold and ready to head back to land. HATS OFF TO THOSE IN THE NAVY!!

Riding back to the hotel we both felt a nap was needed BUT we knew good and well that had we taken one we'd have not gone out to dinner so shower, dressed and head out was the plan! We were team BLACK AND WHITE Saturday night!

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Outback Steakhouse since we couldn't find the restaurant he really wanted to try and when we left there was the most BEAUTIFUL sky awaiting us.

It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day because once we went back to the room, showered and changed EVERYBODY DIED! There was NO movement until Day 8 around 7 a.m.!
